nearby. We are a stones throw from Lake Samish and Lake Whatcom, two large and scenic
gems with public access for excellent water skiing and fishing. There are numerous small
lakes and streams in the area, not to mention the Skagit and Samish
Rivers, that are well known for seasonal salmon fishing.
For the saltwater enthusiast, beautiful Larabee
State Park, which is located on the historically famous Chuckanut Drive,
offers many amenities for the day visitor, including boat access to Puget Sound and the
San Juans.
Have an oyster cocktail at the Old Edison Inn while en route to the idyllic San Juan
Islands and majestic Victoria, British Columbia via the Washington
State Ferry.
There are many hiking, mountain biking, and horse trails in the vicinity, most notably
off Chuckanut Drive, which is well known throughout the world for its rustic trails.
Destinations such as Pine, Cedar, and Lilly Lizard Lakes are wonderful backpacking
locations with extensive, well-maintained trails.
Golfers will enjoy our close proximity to four premiere courses including: Avalon (with
27 holes), Sudden Valley, Lake Paden, and Eaglemount.
Skagit Speedway
is a well-known racetrack featuring weekly Sprint Races and special events in the summer
months. Mount Baker Ski Area
is nearby and receives record-setting snow during the winter season.
There are three well-established Casinos, Swinomish, Skagit Valley and Nooksack, within easy
driving distance of the motel, offering a variety of gambling, entertainment, and fine
